  Cleaning

  To minimize deep and vigorous cleaning, use a garden hose once a month to wash off the cover. This will keep dust, dirt and other contaminates from becoming embedded in the material. Generally, a more thorough cleaning with a sponge or soft bristle brush and mild liquid soap and warm water can be done once per year to keep your cover looking great. Avoid using products that contain harsh chemicals such as bleach and scrubbing items such as stiff bristle brushes and abrasive cleaning pads. These can damage the surface of the fabric and reduce the superior water-resistance of the cover.

  A note about washing machines: Many cover manufacturers recommend cleaning their covers in the washing machine. While our materials are more than capable of taking the rigors of this type of cleaning, repeated machine washings will reduce the water-resistance of the cover. To keep optimum performance, machine washing these covers should be avoided.
